CATONSVILLE COUGARS YOUTH CROSS-COUNTRY
Come RUN with us!
For girls and boys 8 – 14 years of age who want to experience cross-country running. Our focus is on continual self-improvement and developing a love for a fitness activity that can last a lifetime. The following information is how we typically conduct the season, however unforeseen changes may occur.
Practice Dates:
2 practices per week, TBD 6-7:30pm beginning the week of August 25 and lasting through November.
Where:
Catonsville High School (Field Hockey Field)
Meets:
2-4 meets per month, most meets are on the weekends, usually Sunday afternoons (Baltimore, Howard, Frederick and Carroll Counties). These are open invitational meets, but all levels of experience are welcome. We expect runners to participate in meets, but understand everyone cannot make every meet. Meets will start late September and go until late November with championship meets in December.
Each athlete is responsible for his or her meet registration fee which is typically $10/meet. Coaches will register athletes in advance of the meet. (Meets typically start at 11:30 AM) A uniform is required at every meet.

Participant Cost:
Basic Fee: $130.00 including registration and uniform. ($80 if you are already have a uniform that fits or want to run for fun, without competing at meets)
Other Details:
A copy of your child’s birth certificate is required by USATF/AAU for proof of age before participating in any championship meets. (Returning athletes have a birth certificate on file.) Copies may be brought to the first practice, clear digital copies are acceptable as well.
